TOYOTA - LAND CRUISER“250”
Social media movie production, 3D CG, visual effects
Toyota Motor Corporation released the new Land Cruiser 250 series on April 18, 2024 (Japan time). amana produced this social media movie in full CG.
The Land Cruiser runs through its own world in full CG movie.
Social media movies require short videos that keep viewers watching without leaving. What is the story that shows the car from different angles using moving images that give an overall sense of the car and makes the viewer want to watch it over and over again? amana proposed a video of the Land Cruiser 250 running through a world that no one had ever seen before, making full use of its unique strength in CG background assets.
amana has a wealth of CG background assets cultivated over many years of experience and can quickly create a world that does not exist. We created a story that surprised and excited viewers by producing scenes in which the Land Cruiser 250 runs powerfully against a unique and uncomfortable backdrop. Simply driving through beautiful scenery can be lost on social media, so the movie includes a variety of scenes, such as roads, signs, and urban bridges that appear in the desert. We are trying to reduce the rate of viewers leaving by creating an unintentionally surprising development of scenes leaving them wondering, “Where are you driving?.”
amana’s strength lies in the fact that it has a large number of CG background assets and a rich track record of creating CG images of cars from CAD data. In making this movie, we added real VFX to create visually pleasing imagery, including a cloud of dust, to express the power of the Land Cruiser 250. Although the production period was only about one month, high-quality images, including the background and VFX, were realized. The movie brings out the best in the new attractive Land Cruiser 250 and will attract the attention of many viewers.
